Good morning! My daughter and her friends have the most lovely tradition for birthday dinners: everyone goes around the table and asks an intentional question to the “birthday girl” to facilitate meaningful reflection from the last year of her life but also to dream about the new year. I loved this idea and thought more women should do this! SO we created a second edition of “Untie Your Story: Friends” which is a cute little tin with 12 questions and is now available for only $13!

1. 2 New Granddaughters born within 3 1/2 months of each other (one is 5 months and one is now 6 weeks)
2. Hosting our daughter, her husband and our 2 grandchildren (preschoolers – grandson -4, granddaughter – 2) in our home while they transfer out of the military to grad school
3. I went to a ministry retreat weekend for leaders and am still processing why I was invited and all that God did there.

1. My son who almost failed the 10th grade last year, has made the honor roll all year this year!!! Woohoo!! Awesome surprise!
2. My husband received a “Legion of Merrit” medal from Sgt. Robert as a beautiful surprise award during an emotional tribute ceremony for our service men and women.
3. My husband and kids threw me a surprise party for my 40th birthday. Close friends and family and lots of laughs. Feeling so blessed right now!!!

A broken leg revealed many blessings and a discovery of how God uses struggles for good.
1- a new appreciation by my husband for my role at home
2- a closer bond between my kids and parents who have been helping out
3- time for rest and reflection for mom. Yay!
I agree with your sentiment that “God uses struggle for our good.” My father in-law passed away January 3, 2014 and through the pain it brought me much closer to my mother in law (formerly a strained relationship) and our church family. I miss him every day, but his passing has made us so much stronger. He would be pleased.
1. We have a new daughter, Emma Grace. She was born in August 2014.
2. My husband found out that his company will pay for him to go back to school, so he will get a huge promotion in a couple of years.
3. My favorite band, who broke up 10 years ago, just announced a reunion tour! I’m so excited to finally be able to see them live again.
