We Give Thanks

We had a wonderful day yesterday enjoying our extended family.  Thirty five of us gathered at our family’s farm in south Arkansas, land that has been in our family since 1850, the place where my mother was born in 1925.

We celebrated her yesterday. Her 92nd birthday was a week ago. Though her arthritis and bad knees keep her from doing all she’d like to do, her spirit is strong and her outlook is positive. She loves her family and engages in every conversation from football to politics to the latest ‘fake news’ on her Facebook feed!

Hope you’ll enjoy these photos from my ordinary family filled with thanksgiving to God!

Give thanks to the Lord for He is good. His lovingkindness is everlasting!

  1. Barbara,
I loved seeing you all around the table, I see Dennis in his cowboy hat. Such a blessing to be with your Mom. We love the Thanksgiving book, it adds so much to our gathering. Love to you all.

  2. Fascinated by the entire ensemble and the spirit behind it. I’m already inspired and dreaming of initiating a regular annual thanksgiving get together for my family.

  3. Your family’s Thanksgiving celebration looks wonderful! I love the plastic plates on gold chargers. :) Every year for the past several years, our family has enjoyed listening to your “Thanksgiving :A Time to Remember.” We love it; it is so well done. Thank you!
