White as Snow: Spoonful of Sugar

matthew283

Matthew 28:3 “His appearance was like lightning, and his clothing white as snow.”

Lead a discussion with your kids asking, “Who is this verse about?” Of course we know this is describing our holy God.

  • Using as many descriptors as you can think of, describe snow
  • What does the word like indicate in this sentence? Is God actually made up of snow?
  • Why do you think God used the word snow to describe His clothing?
  • What does this tell us about God?
  • What does it mean to you?

Praise God for His innate holiness that cannot be tarnished by anything. And thank Him that by accepting Jesus as our Savior and forgiver of sin, we can be seen as pure and white as snow too.  If someone in your family hasn’t yet made the decision to become a Christian, take time this week to explain the filth of our sin and the cleansing God freely offers.

**Just as a reminder, Spoonful of Sugar will include one Bible verse and a few short questions to spark conversation around the verse’s meaning and message. We’ll offer the verse as a free download (click the image below) so that you can pin it up on the fridge or set it in the center of your nightly dinner table.

A quick and easy way for you and your family to focus on the truth throughout the week. The best part is we will send it to you. You don’t have to go rummaging through Pinterest or digging through a stack of old books. We’ve got the curriculum brewing, and we’ll get it to you every Saturday, in time to be ready for the week ahead.

So follow along with us and enjoy the delectable, bite-sized morsels of God’s Word each week in your home.
