Did you know Jesus never told us to celebrate or commemorate His birth? So what do we do? We make His birth the biggest celebration of the entire year! So typical of us to not focus on what He says is important.
What then should we celebrate?
Jesus told his disciples, and therefore us, to remember His death.
Remember His sacrifice.
Remember His last act.
Remember His greatest work—redemption.
And if we remember well, celebration will follow naturally, for it is impossible not to be jubilant that Jesus defeated death and rose again.
For us.
All for us because he loves us.
This week will you remember every day, at every meal?
For it was over a meal that Jesus broke the bread and said, “Remember Me.”
