Do you feel the comfort of a child as you read this prayer? Wrapped in slumber with His watchful eye alert to you? He who never sleeps, who never tires, who is my keeper, your keeper, is always vigilant, on guard, mindful. Nothing escapes His all- knowing care.
Sadly our view of God is tainted by the evil deeds of men and women whose stories we know or stories we may have lived ourselves. Yet the promise is sure that He will repay every one according to his deeds. One day all will be made right.
Unlike any earthly father, our Heavenly Father knows where we are every moment of every day. “Where shall I go from your Spirit? Even the darkness is not dark to You. The night is as bright as the day. When I awake…I am still with you” (Psalm 139:7-12).
Remember today His affectionate presence that will never leave you.
